Overview What to keep in mind Modicare Plan Products Disclosures FAQ
MLMCompanyHub does not publish a single star score for Modicare. It is a long-established, registered direct-selling company, but income outcomes for consultants vary widely and most earn modest amounts, so a one-number rating would oversimplify. The sections below set out the verifiable facts so you can judge for yourself.
Not financial advice. This page explains how the Modicare Plan works and summarises public facts. It is not a recommendation to join or to buy. Direct-selling income is not guaranteed, the plan states all incentives are paid only on product sales, and most consultants earn modest amounts, so weigh the time, cost and selling effort before deciding.
Established direct seller, with the usual MLM income caveats

Modicare is a real, registered Indian company (Modicare Limited, part of Modi Enterprises), launched in 1996 as one of India's first direct sellers and a founding member of the Indian Direct Selling Association, so it is not an anonymous scheme. Its plan, the Samir Modi Azadi Plan 2.0, pays through product discounts, retail profit and a 7 to 16 percent performance bonus plus director and fund pools, and the plan states all incentives are paid only on the sale of products. The balanced caution is the same as for the wider MLM industry: most consultants earn modest amounts, the higher pools require sizeable team volume and director titles, and the company's own income examples are illustrative. This is information, not advice.

What Modicare is

Modicare Limited is a direct-selling company launched in 1996 by Samir Kumaar Modi, with the stated vision of giving "Azadi" (freedom) to every Indian. It is part of Modi Enterprises, a group with more than 80 years of business heritage going back to Rai Bahadur Gujarmal Modi and K.K. Modi, and it is a founding member of the Indian Direct Selling Association. The company is headquartered in New Friends Colony, New Delhi, sells more than 365 products and 750-plus SKUs across 14 everyday categories, and reports a consultant base in the tens of lakhs. Products are sold only through Modicare consultants rather than in shops or on e-commerce, and carry a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee.

Its compensation system is the Samir Modi Azadi Plan 2.0, effective from February 2023, an accumulative plan based on Point Value (PV) and Business Volume (BV). This profile documents how that Modicare Plan, also referred to as the Modicare marketing plan or Modicare business plan, works alongside the public context, so readers can make an informed decision. Modicare also sits alongside other Modi Enterprises ventures such as the Colorbar cosmetics brand and 24Seven convenience stores.

What to keep in mind

  • Income is variable and mostly modest. As across the MLM industry, earnings concentrate at the top and many consultants earn little after costs.
  • Higher pools need scale. The director, team, leadership and fund pools require director titles and large team volume, which most people never reach.
  • Pay is tied to product sales. The plan states all incentives are paid only on the sale of Modicare products, and income examples in its materials are illustrative.
  • Accumulative, no demotions. Levels accumulate and titles are kept for life, but ongoing monthly qualification is needed to be paid at director levels.
  • Legitimacy markers. A registered company since 1996, IDSA founding member, real products and a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee distinguish it from anonymous schemes.
  • It is a sales business. Treat it as retail selling plus team-building that takes real time and effort, not passive income.

The Modicare Plan, explained

This section documents how the Modicare Plan (the Samir Modi Azadi Plan 2.0) is presented in the company's official plan booklet, so readers can understand the mechanics. It is an accumulative marketing plan built on Point Value (PV) and Business Volume (BV), with a current India PV to BV ratio of 1:27 (so 1 PV equals 27 BV, and bonuses are paid on BV). The Modicare business plan lists 12 areas of income:

1. The 12 areas of income

Income areaRate / poolWho earns it
1. Savings on consumptionup to ~30%All consultants (self use)
2. Retail profitup to ~20%All consultants (MRP minus consultant price)
3. Accumulative performance bonus (APB)7% to 16%All consultants, by accumulated PV
4. Director Bonus Pool4% of monthly BVPaid-as-title Directors
5. Team Bonus Pool15%Senior Directors and above (up to 9 generations)
6. Builder Bonus Pool7%Senior Director to Platinum Director
7. Diamond Bonus Pool2%Diamond Directors and above
8. Leadership Productivity Bonus (LPB)17%Senior Directors+ with a 3,600 GPV leg
9. Car Fund Pool5% (max ~Rs 1,00,000/mo)Senior Executive Directors and above
10. Travel Fund Pool2%Senior Directors and above
11. Home Bonus Pool3% (max ~Rs 1,20,000/mo)Diamond Directors and above
12. Founder Bonus Pool (annual)1% of annual BVDiamond Directors+ (6 of 12 months)

All pool percentages are of company monthly BV (the Founder pool is annual) and are paid by a monthly point-sharing system, so their exact rupee value varies each month.

2. Accumulative performance bonus (APB) slabs

Your accumulated PV sets your APB percentage (BV is PV times 27):

LevelAccumulated PVApprox BVBonus
Consultant1 to 29927 to 8,0737%
Senior Consultant300 to 1,1998,100 to 32,37310%
Supervisor1,200 to 2,69932,400 to 72,87313%
Senior Supervisor2,700 to 3,99972,900 to 1,07,97315%
Director4,000 and above1,08,000 and above16%

To draw the bonus you must make a minimum personal purchase (about 15 PPV up to Senior Supervisor, 30 PPV from Director onwards). Fast Start programs can grant a 10 percent level (240 GPV in a month) or Fast Start Director (3,200 GPV) early. The bonus is shared down the group by each member's level (the difference rolls up to you).

3. Director title ladder

Reaching 4,000 accumulated PV makes you a Director (requalified at 1,100 PGPV per month). Higher director titles are qualified by the number of qualified Director legs (or generations) in your downline:

Director titleQualified Director legs
DirectorEntry director level
Senior Director (SD)1
Executive Director (ED)2
Senior Executive Director (SED)3
Platinum Director (PD)4
Diamond Director (DD)6
Black Diamond Director (BDD)8
Red Diamond Director (RDD)11
Global Red Diamond Director (GRDD)14 or more

The team, builder, diamond, leadership and fund pools above are paid to these director titles, which is why genuine income at the higher levels requires building and maintaining a large, active organisation, not just personal sales.

Reality check. The headline "up to 60-plus percent payout" reflects the sum of all pools across the whole network, not what one consultant earns. For most participants the realistic outcome is consumption savings and a small retail or performance bonus; the large pools belong to a small number of senior directors. Read the official plan booklet and income disclosure before assuming the top numbers apply to you.

Products

Modicare's products are real and sold with a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee and full refund as per company policy. The range spans more than 365 products and 750-plus SKUs across 14 everyday categories: health and nutrition (the Well range), skincare and color cosmetics, personal care, oral and dental care, hair care, men's grooming, baby care, home care and cleaners, auto care, agriculture and more, with related Modi Enterprises brands such as Colorbar. Products are sold only through Modicare consultants, not in shops or on e-commerce, which is central to the direct-selling model.

Important disclosures

This block replaces a customer-reviews section. MLMCompanyHub does not publish invented reviews or a single star score; the points below are drawn from Modicare's own plan booklet and public information.

Legitimacy. Modicare Limited is a real, registered Indian company, launched in 1996 as one of the country's first direct sellers, part of Modi Enterprises, and a founding member of the Indian Direct Selling Association. It sells genuine products across 14 categories with a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. These features clearly separate it from anonymous deposit or token schemes.

Income reality. Like the broader MLM industry, most Modicare consultants earn modest amounts, and many do not profit once product and activity costs are counted; the larger pools concentrate among a small number of senior directors. The plan booklet itself states income figures are illustrative and that all incentives are paid only on the sale of Modicare products. Treat any large income example a recruiter shows you as a best case, not a norm.

India context. Modicare operates as a direct seller under the Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021, which require genuine products, disclosures, buy-back and refund provisions and prohibit pyramid and money-circulation schemes. Direct selling is legal in India when income comes mainly from genuine product sales rather than enrolment, which is the distinction regulators apply to the whole sector.

MLMCompanyHub is not a regulator and makes no legal determination about Modicare. This page summarises the Samir Modi Azadi Plan 2.0 booklet and public information so readers can verify each point. Percentages, slabs and the PV to BV ratio are revised periodically, so always check the current official plan booklet, and read the official income disclosure before joining any direct-selling plan.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Modicare Plan?

The Modicare Plan, officially the Samir Modi Azadi Plan 2.0 (effective February 2023), is the company's direct-selling compensation plan. It is accumulative, built on Point Value (PV) and Business Volume (BV) with a current PV to BV ratio of 1:27, and lists 12 areas of income: up to about 30 percent savings on consumption, up to about 20 percent retail profit, a 7 to 16 percent accumulative performance bonus, and the Director, Team, Builder, Diamond, Leadership Productivity, Car, Travel, Home and annual Founder pools. All incentives are paid only on the sale of Modicare products.

Is Modicare legit or a scam?

Modicare is a legitimate, registered Indian company (Modicare Limited, part of Modi Enterprises) launched in 1996 and a founding member of the Indian Direct Selling Association. It sells real products across 14 categories with a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee, so it is not an anonymous scheme. As with all MLM and direct selling, income is variable and depends on product sales and team-building, the plan states all incentives are paid only on product sales, and most consultants earn modest amounts. MLMCompanyHub makes no legal determination and presents the facts.

How many ways can you earn in the Modicare business plan?

The Samir Modi Azadi Plan 2.0 lists 12 areas: savings on consumption (up to ~30%), retail profit (up to ~20%), the 7 to 16 percent accumulative performance bonus, the Director Bonus Pool (4%), Team Bonus Pool (15%, up to 9 generations), Builder Bonus Pool (7%), Diamond Bonus Pool (2%), Leadership Productivity Bonus (17%), Car Fund Pool (5%), Travel Fund Pool (2%), Home Bonus Pool (3%) and an annual Founder Bonus Pool (1%). The higher pools require director titles and team volume.

How does the Modicare accumulative performance bonus work?

Every product carries a PV and a BV (PV times 27 in India), and the bonus is paid on BV. Accumulated PV sets the percentage: Consultant up to 300 PV earns 7%, Senior Consultant 300 to 1,200 earns 10%, Supervisor 1,200 to 2,700 earns 13%, Senior Supervisor 2,700 to 4,000 earns 15%, and Director at 4,000 PV and above earns 16%. The plan is accumulative with no demotions in title, and you must make a minimum personal purchase (about 15 PPV up to Senior Supervisor, 30 PPV from Director onwards) to draw the bonus each month.

What is the PV to BV ratio in Modicare?

In the current Samir Modi Azadi Plan 2.0 the India PV to BV ratio is 1:27, so each 1 Point Value equals 27 Business Volume, and bonuses are calculated on BV. Every Modicare product has a set PV and BV shown on the official price list. The ratio can be revised by the company, so check the latest official plan booklet.

Modicare lists more than 365 products and 750-plus SKUs across 14 categories, including health and nutrition (Well range), skincare and color cosmetics, personal and oral care, home care and cleaners, men's grooming, baby care, hair care, auto care and agriculture, plus related Modi Enterprises brands such as Colorbar. Products are sold only through Modicare consultants, not in shops or on e-commerce, and carry a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee with a full refund as per company policy.
